Here at Punt, we’re trying to revive that ancient Irish tradition of storytelling.

Every family has a good yarn — what’s yours? If there’s someone in your family with a story to tell, we want to hear it. Sit them down, get it on paper (max 400 words) and send it to puntmagazine@gmail.com. If you have a photo to go along with the story, even better. If not, we’ll get our photographers or illustrators on the case.

Punt is a new platform for narrative journalism in Ireland, providing critical but optimistic analysis, along with a healthy dose of the arts, photography and illustration, interviews and satire. This month, we examine the whole panoply of children’s rights and the need for a referendum to protect one of the most vulnerable groups in our society.

Punt is an ad-free zone by policy. The only ads you’ll find here will be non-commercial and from our Punters.

Throughout Punt, you’ll find plenty of art, photography, comics and the like – but we always need more, so get in touch if you’d like to contribute. And if you have feedback on our first issue, please email puntmagazine@gmail.com.
