SUMS has been part of the graffiti scene in Ireland since 1989. For the last 17 years he has been a co-organiser of Bridge Over Troubled Water, aka ‘The Bridge Jam’ festival, one of the longest-running graffiti festivals in the world.
He is part of TDA KLANN, Ireland’s longest-running graffiti crew, pioneers in producing some of the largest outdoor murals seen in Ireland.
He designed a mural for the current Mini Cooper campaign and has exhibited work in Ireland, Europe, the US and Australia. Today, Sums works as a flame operator, compositing special effects for commercials and film. His career as a graphic effects artist has seen him work with everyone from U2 and Rodrigo y Gabriela to a host of top brands such as Bulmers and O2.
